Two new exhibits will open at the Delta Cultural Center Visitor’s Center, 141 Cherry Street in February to honor Black Heritage Monthand and will spotlight two members of the DCC staff.
(1) The Art of Howard Newsom: With Pen and Paper” – Best known as a tour guide at the DCC’s Depot, Mr. Newsom’s art creations done with pens and ink markers with be featured in large digital prints.
(2) “Photography of Carla Roy: Snapshots of the Blues” – Business Operations Specialist Carla Roy has been photographing Blues Festivals and Blues musicians with a variety of cameras for over 30 years. Some of Ms. Roy’s best snapshots will be featured in large digital prints.

Both exhibits will run from February 1 through February 29, 2012.
